Kalter Law PLLC is a specialized boutique law firm that focuses on trusts, estates, and tax-exempt organizations.

Albert Kalter, in Memoriam

Albert Kalter dedicated much of his career to counseling clients in estate planning, charitable giving, trust and estate administration, and the management of tax-exempt organizations. He was a Professor of Taxation and Chairman of the Graduate Tax Program at Pace University, as well as a Lecturer in Law at Columbia Law School. A Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, he also chaired the estate and gift tax committees of both the American Bar Association’s Section of Taxation and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

 

 

Albert was regularly listed in The Best Lawyers in America and was highly regarded by both his clients and students for his expertise and dedication.

Dahlia Kalter

Dahlia Kalter brings a wealth of diverse experiences to her distinguished career in the field of trusts and estates. Her academic journey began at Barnard College, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and a minor in Psychology. The foundation laid during her undergraduate years has been a cornerstone of her interdisciplinary approach to the complexities of legal practice.
 

After completing her undergraduate studies, Dahlia’s commitment to academic excellence led her to New York University School of Law, where she earned her JD. There, she also served as the Developments Editor of the Journal of International Law and Politics. Demonstrating her dedication to specialization, she further pursued an LLM in Taxation.

 

Dahlia’s professional journey commenced at Proskauer Rose LLP, where she immersed herself in the Trusts and Estates department, garnering invaluable experience and expertise. Eager to meld her legal acumen with a personal touch, she joined her father, Albert Kalter, in private practice, embarking on a two-decade-long journey of providing comprehensive counsel on estate planning, charitable giving, trust and estate administration, and the oversight of tax-exempt organizations.

 

In the spirit of generosity and civic responsibility, Dahlia dedicates her free time to pro bono work. Her commitment to public service extends beyond the confines of her legal practice, demonstrating a profound belief in the power of law to effect positive change in the community. Dahlia’s pro bono contributions exemplify her commitment to justice and underscore the impact a dedicated legal professional can have beyond the courtroom.
